The township of Maplewood hosts an annual Green Day event each October to raise awareness about current environmental issues and to instruct the community on viable solutions, both large and small. We have proven to be a community that believes in green matters, as evidenced in the high attendance to the 2008 event--over 100 exhibitions and 4,000 visitors! Go Maplewood!

Our third annual Green Day was on October 10, 2009. A full day of activities took place in Maplewood’s Memorial Park, with smaller events held around town.  There were live music, how-to workshops, delicious organic food, green businesses, interactive children’s activities and more.
